(AN: THE WAIT IS OVER! MMG IS HERE!)
(AN2: Still on test weeks, but this should be the last one, so shouldn’t be that bad. You may expect an update next weekend, but that’s up to your own risk.)
(AN3: On the matter of updates, tempted to do a second MMG chapter. If not, i’ll probably go for Monsterventurers.)
(AN4: on another side note, I’m kind of tempted to do a character sheet of my characters from PSo2/Go-to game characters. Don’t ask me why, I just feel like doing it… Oh well. If i do it, it won’t be at the cost of a normal chapter, so don’t worry.)
(AN5: COOKIES FOR EVERYONE!)
Mana. Familiar, yet at the same time oddly foreign mana reached it. Deep where it was, hidden from the eyes and ears of the people of the world, it still felt the familiar sensation.
And because of that, it woke up.
Its first thought was confusion. Why and how was it feeling mana from whence it was? Secluded in the unreacheable parts of the abyss, there was no way that any simple magic remnant would reach it without some serious power behind it. Not unless said mana was deeply related to water.
(AN: YAY! MMG post! And before anyone starts, feel free to ignore PRing ANs. I myself don’t bother doing grammar for them either)
(AN2: On another note, “currently working” on Dragooness for next weekend. )
(AN3: So, I recently felt like making this poll for no good reason. I won’t force any of you guys to vote, but these are mostly for fun anyway. Also, i’m kinda curious about comparing the results (Yeah, please vote in both in case you vote any))
The moment that the girls saw the leviathan take flight, they couldn’t help but think that they were about to get into serious trouble. Shelly seemed happy to oblige with that idea.
The girls have fought faster opponents, but Shelly’s surprise liftoff threw the girls’ plan out the window. If they had taken a minute to observe her, they would have noticed that Shelly’s speed was actually a bit slower than their own.
However, in their shock, the girls never noticed this, and by the time they finally managed to react, the Leviathan was already too close for them to put the plan they had spent so long thinking into work.
(AN: I had this done since yesterday, but kinda forgot to post, so here it is, a slightly late weekend update for MMG!)
(AN2: “No plan ever survive first contact with the enemy.” – That dude who i can’t remember in that time that i also can’t remember.)
(AN3:Currently working on Dragooness 4, and i think i can pull it out before the weekend. Afterwards, may write a new story if i still feel like it >.>)
“…What hath happened in this place?” Amon’s voice echoed in the room as she walked in.
Hearing their bosses voice, both Vivian and Shelly raised their eyes towards the demoness who had walked in confused. Vivian had been slumped on the desk and had an expression of worry and fear, while the leviathan stood behind her holding a pile of paper that she had been ferrying somewhere else.
“AMY!” The siren shouted as tears fell from her eyes. “Help me! My confidence as a secretary is slowly being drained from my soul!”
“Muu… You are mean Michael.” Shauna complained while her head fell into the pile of papers in front of her. “I’m sooo tired.. Why are you so meaaan?.”
“That’s because I had the feeling you’ve been slacking in your martial arts training, you know?” Michael commented while briefly glancing towards the girl’s homework. “And your third question is wrong, do it again.”
“HEEEEH?” Shauna let out a shout of despair before begrudgingly erasing the answer she had spent so long working on. “Couldn’t you at least let me rest before homework?”
“Oh gods… You aren’t going to start it again, are yah?” Pris asked with a fatigued tone as she watched the yellow magical girl’s eyes sparkle dangerously. “You are…”
“My, oh my. How could I have been so blind. It all makes sense now!” Sparkle yellow said as she started twirling into the air. “All our battles up to now had mostly been one-sided even though our enemies were always big monsters. Then, suddenly, a human-looking girl in dark clothes similar to ours appear and become a real challenge, even to the point of defeating us as she looks down and say: You aren’t worthy of being magical girls!”
“Where’s Sparkle Red when you need her?” The yellow magical girl, Ellie, said with an annoyed tone as she stared back to the massive wyvern flying high in the sky. Staring at her in shock and confusion, Shelly felt a mix of confusion, relief and annoyance.
Confusion as to what the girl was doing there wearing those clothes while flying so nonchalantly when she should have been just a normal girl who’s friend of her sister. Relief at seeing that, despite having been thoroughly smashed against the building besides her, she only looked to be out of breath for a moment. And annoyance for not having even thought that something like this could be the case.
It took the Leviathan a moment to notice that the yellow girl still hadn’t seen her standing there. She still managed to recover from her shock before Ellie noticed her, but when she started to move away, she noticed as the girl’s eyes widened slightly and she lowered her gaze back to the leviathan.
In the end, by the time the leviathan had to leave for her mission, she had barely managed to make a very flimsy water barrier. After all, no matter how much magic someone have, being able to pull out a complex magic usage like that after only a couple of hours of training was probably asking too much. Even more since she couldn’t brute-force her way through, like she had done with her previous exercises in magic wielding.
Receiving a reminder from Vivian that the time for her to go on her job was approaching, she had to leave the training room and head to stairway leading to the ceiling. On her way, she found Ammon waiting for her while carrying a cloak in her hands.
“Here be thy disguise.” She said while handing the cloak to the leviatan. “Just a reminder, but only put it after thy uniform hast been equipped.” She explained.
Shelly was many things when she woke up in the morning. She was refreshed from having one of the best sleeps she had in her life. She was also tired, knowing that she’d have a very tiring day ahead of herself. There was also expectancy, after all, just yesterday she had began to meddle with magic, and to say that she didn’t want to see what would happen would be a lie.
However, above all else, there were two things that she was at that moment that stood over the others.
It was only after a couple of minutes after Amy left that it finally sunk in to Shelly that the promise she had made fundamentally meant that she would have to change back into a girl even after she managed to learn how to change into a man. And worse, she would have to go see her childhood friend in that form!
Thoroughly regretting her inability to refuse any sort of request from Amy whenever she made that pleading face Shelly could only let herself sink on the chair while pulling the tip of her tail to fiddle around with absentmindedly.
For a moment, Shelly started to think that possibly working there might not be that bad. If she just avoided the dangerous jobs and sticked to the simpler ones, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. Heck, if she stayed she could even use magic! Yes, she would have to stick to becoming a girl from time to time, but magic! How many people would she possibly know that could use actual magic?
